Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Wantagh, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, creating tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and physician referrals.
• Implement and administer effective therapy techniques, which may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate and guide patients and their caregivers on therapeutic exercises and strategies to handle daily activities safely.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans regularly to maintain compliance with clinical standards and company procedures.
• Work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team, actively participating in case discussions to enhance care coordination.
• Monitor and assess patient responses to treatment, making necessary adjustments to improve rehabilitation effectiveness.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a supportive and caring environment throughout the patient journey.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including staying updated on the latest research and techniques in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Each patient presents unique challenges and goals, allowing you to employ your critical thinking and clinical skills in practical settings. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an APTA or CAPTE-approved Physical Therapy program is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information to patients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
