Work Environment

Our Freeport outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and the latest therapeutic equipment to assist in patient recovery. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, including occupational therapists, physiatrists, and support staff, all in a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and communication. This is an onsite position, which allows for direct interaction with patients and team members to foster a healthy working relationship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and establish individualized treatment plans.
• Design and implement personalized therapeutic interventions that enhance strength, flexibility, and overall mobility while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Directly administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation, to address specific physical impairments.
• Regularly monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care strategies reflecting each patient's needs.
• Guide patients and their families through home exercise programs and strategies for continuing improvement outside the clinic.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations and professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is the outpatient population, with a significant portion of our patients requiring rehabilitation due to musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical recovery, and age-related impairments. Your expertise will be particularly beneficial in assisting many of our patients from the geriatric community, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in the state of New York.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, fostering effective relationships with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple patient caseloads efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of prior experience is required, experience in an outpatient setting or with the geriatric population is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and evidence-based treatment methodologies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
