Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of residents upon admission to assess their physical capabilities, limitations, and specific treatment needs.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to enhance residents' strength, mobility, and functionality, ensuring that patient goals are met effectively.
• Administering a variety of therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Regularly monitoring residents' progress, documenting improvements, and modifying treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to create a holistic care plan that addresses all aspects of a resident's health.
• Educating residents and their families on home exercise protocols and strategies for maintaining their physical health beyond therapy sessions.
• Dedicatedly adhering to all regulations set forth by state and federal authorities, as well as upholding professional standards within the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with an adult and geriatric population, many of whom may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or managing chronic conditions that affect mobility and overall physical health. Understanding the specific challenges faced by this demographic and utilizing tailored interventions will be critical to achieving the best patient outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

• Possess a current and valid license as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in developing and implementing rehabilitation programs based on patient evaluations.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with both patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
