Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in an orthopedic outpatient practice located in Oyster Bay, New York. Work Environment

The role is firmly based onsite at our facility in Oyster Bay, where you will be an integral part of a small but dedicated team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. The environment is focused on teamwork, ongoing education, and professional growth, all aimed at enhancing patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' movement abilities and needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a wide range of therapeutic techniques to effectively address each patient's specific goals.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring personalized attention during every session.
• Utilize evidence-based modalities to advance patients' functional abilities while emphasizing cost-effective treatment methods.
• Guide patients through their rehabilitation journey, motivating and supporting them to adhere to their treatment programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, sharing progress and insights for enhanced patient outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary, and documenting all services provided clearly and accurately.
• Encourage and educate patients on health and wellness lifestyle modifications that bolster strength, flexibility, balance, and overall wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our clinic, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic pain, athletes focusing on performance enhancement, and older adults seeking improved mobility. Your tailored care approach is vital in helping these patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required; additional certifications or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current and valid New York State Physical Therapist license without any disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including WebPT.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills with a strong foundation in exercise program design and execution.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills to foster successful patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to provide immediate value to our patients.
• Experience working within a comprehensive care team and collaborating with healthcare professionals in a rehabilitation setting.
• A track record of successfully managing patient care and treatment planning initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, reflective of qualifications and experience.
