Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation center in Hempstead, where you will collaborate with a tight-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and fulfill the unique goals and needs of each patient.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour to ensure focused and personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to develop individualized care plans that align with best practices.
• Implement cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at enhancing clients' mobility while minimizing reliance on pharmacological interventions.
• Advise patients on non-surgical alternatives and guide them in understanding their options for orthopedic care.
• Design and customize fitness and wellness programs that address the specific needs and goals of patients.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy to optimize their recovery journey.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols meticulously to ensure continuity of care and adherence to best practices.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and monitor patient progress to refine therapeutic strategies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New York State is required.
• No recorded board actions or disciplinary measures on your license, signifying a commitment to ethical practice.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in designing effective exercise programs catered to individual needs.
• Familiarity with EMR Software, including WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A track record of prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care.
• Knowledge or certification in advanced manual therapy techniques is a plus.
• Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
