Work Environment

Our outpatient office in Hempstead is designed to provide a collaborative and supportive work environment. You will be joining a close-knit team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working together to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and professional growth. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' goals and requirements, developing tailored treatment plans that align with their specific needs.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, delivering personalized therapy sessions at a pace of one patient per hour.
• Utilize innovative treatment techniques to improve patients' range of motion, mobility, and strength while reducing reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Design and implement individualized fitness and wellness programs that encourage sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously to ensure continuity of care and effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address the full spectrum of patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals seeking rehabilitation following orthopedic injuries, sports-related ailments, and post-surgical recovery. Many of our patients are motivated athletes or active individuals aiming to return to their previous level of performance. As a Physical Therapist in our practice, you will have the opportunity to work closely with this diverse population, customizing your approach to meet their unique goals while promoting a healthy lifestyle that encompasses strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist as per the regulations set forth by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of one year of outpatient orthopedic experience is required to ensure you can effectively engage with our patient base.

Preferred Experience
