Corewell Physical Therapy is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist who is dedicated to improving patients' quality of life through comprehensive therapeutic care. Located in New Hyde Park, New York, Corewell Physical Therapy is an outpatient clinic specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation. Our facility is proudly operated by physical therapists who are committed to delivering personalized care tailored to each individual. We work primarily with patients who have private medical insurance and offer state-of-the-art equipment and treatment modalities. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all of whom share a common goal of promoting wellness and improving patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at our modern outpatient office, which is designed to facilitate an effective rehabilitation process. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload, seeing one patient per hour, while ensuring high-quality care is delivered consistently.
• Utilize various treatment techniques to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and overall mobility, significantly impacting their performance in daily activities.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to integrate multi-disciplinary approaches into patient care.
• Document treatment approaches and patient progress meticulously for ongoing assessment and care adjustments.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to promote adherence and achieve their goals.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy to implement cutting-edge interventions.
• Educate patients on wellness strategies, including lifestyle changes that foster strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Corewell Physical Therapy predominantly serves individuals seeking orthopedic rehabilitation. Our patients are often post-operative or experiencing musculoskeletal issues, and they rely on our expertise to restore movement and alleviate pain. By tailoring our therapies to address specific conditions, we help clients regain their independence and improve their overall wellness.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited program recognized by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association in partnership with the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Possession of at least one year of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in sports medicine or post-surgical rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or similar documentation systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that foster positive patient interactions.

Compensation and Benefits
