Work Environment

Your workplace will be an outpatient office setting in Floral Park, situated conveniently with access to the surrounding community. You will work a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, ensuring 40 hours a week devoted to patient care and professional growth. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, integrating information from medical history, physical assessments, and patient feedback to create effective treatment plans.
• Implement tailored exercise regimens and manual therapy techniques based on the latest evidence-based practices to promote recovery and functional mobility.
• Provide on-site therapy, utilizing advanced equipment and modalities to treat a diverse set of patient conditions while documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Lead educational sessions for patients and caregivers to ensure understanding and adherence to therapy protocols, helping them engage actively in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and medical professionals, to maximize patient outcomes and enhance integrated care delivery.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy methodologies and train continuously to further refine your skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• A current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other technology tools relevant to patient care and documentation.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and foster trust-driven relationships.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and includes an attractive benefits package.
