Position Overview

Acts Intuitively Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Rehabilitation Center in Massapequa, New York. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our fully equipped Rehabilitation Center, designed to facilitate various therapeutic modalities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess their physical conditions and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implement and adjust treatment programs, using a combination of hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to address specific patient challenges.
• Maintain open and clear communication with patients to provide education on their diagnosis, treatment goals, and progress throughout their rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service to ensure positive patient experiences and contribute to the overall success of the clinic.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff, to maximize patient outcomes through integrated care.
• Provide in-home therapeutic services if required, ensuring that treatment aligns with the plan of care established by the referring physician.
• Consult with families and caregivers to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to support their loved ones' recovery process.
• Meet or exceed utilization goals and business objectives, contributing to the clinic's operational success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine diagnoses. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• A valid Physical Therapy License to practice in New York State.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective patient education and teamwork.
• Proficiency in word processing and other relevant computer applications to maintain accurate patient records.
• An ability to establish meaningful relationships with patients, helping them exceed their therapeutic goals.
• A demonstrated passion for connecting positively with individuals and building community relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a clinical setting focusing on orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Experience using evidence-based practices to inform treatment methodology.
• Any additional certifications in specialized areas of therapy will be advantageous.
