Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Uniondale, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians, developing comprehensive treatment programs that address their specific needs and goals.
• Implement and modify individualized treatment protocols that utilize a range of therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and improve patient quality of life.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic care across various specialties including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer service, addressing patient inquiries and contributing to the overall effectiveness of our therapeutic services.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and effective treatment strategies that maximize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on rehabilitation practices, self-management strategies, and the importance of adherence to their treatment plans.
• Meet established utilization goals and contribute to business objectives through effective patient management and care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve treating a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and more. You will be instrumental in providing tailored solutions to assist each patient in meeting and exceeding their functional rehabilitation goals. Building strong relationships with patients is crucial, as your supportive presence will encourage their progress and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• You must hold a valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in New York.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficient computer skills for administrative tasks, including treatment documentation and patient record management.
• A commitment to establishing lasting connections with patients to foster their success in rehabilitation.
• A genuine desire to positively engage and support patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient clinical settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and evidence-based treatment methodologies will also be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

Acts Intuitively Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
