Work Environment

This position is offered onsite, giving you the opportunity to work directly with patients within their home environments. Our team-oriented approach encourages collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Your work schedule will primarily range from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans focusing on enhancing mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through customized therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at managing pain and improving physical well-being.
• Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, home exercise programs, and strategies to facilitate recovery.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, including metrics such as range of motion and strength gains to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
• Prepare therapy areas and maintain an organized stock of necessary supplies, ensuring an efficient workflow during treatment sessions.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and facilitate seamless communication regarding treatment progress.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, creating a positive environment conducive to recovery.
• Uphold professional standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for individual rights and dignity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, elderly patients with mobility issues, and athletes with specific rehabilitation needs. Our diverse clientele requires a thorough understanding of various rehabilitation modalities, ensuring that you can address each patient's unique requirements effectively.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in home health or a rehabilitation clinic.
• Experience with specialized rehabilitation areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, or sports medicine is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for effective documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
