Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility in Brooklyn, New York. Here, you will collaborate with a team of skilled healthcare professionals in an engaging and modern work setting that fosters teamwork and continuous learning. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, with shifts beginning at either 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM and concluding at 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM, providing you with a balance of professional commitment and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients, including evaluating strength, mobility, and functionality, to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement and administer a wide range of therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and pain management techniques.
• Educate patients on their conditions and the therapeutic process, clearly explaining the rationale behind each part of their treatment plan.
• Engage in clinical teaching and mentorship of interns, students, and new staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the team.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in orthopedic physical therapy practices and integrate evidence-based approaches into patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal recovery outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical research initiatives that enhance our services and patient care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Restore Strength, you will focus primarily on patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sports-related injuries. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain their strength and mobility, ultimately improving their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities more effectively.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with team members effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting, focusing on outpatient orthopedic care.
• Proficiency in utilizing advanced therapeutic equipment and software for patient assessments and treatment planning.
