We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to support a short-term contract assignment in Tennessee. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who can step in quickly, manage a high-volume AP workflow, and keep vendor payment activity organized and accurate. The position will focus on invoice handling, inbox coordination, and payment processing, with NetSuite experience being essential for success.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable inbox, review incoming requests, and route or respond to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely manner.
• Process a steady volume of vendor invoices, ensuring each item is entered accurately and matched to the appropriate records.
• Apply correct general ledger coding to invoices and verify supporting documentation before submitting items for payment.
• Prepare and execute check runs according to established schedules while maintaining accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
• Use NetSuite to record payable transactions, update invoice status, and maintain organized financial data throughout the assignment.
• Monitor invoice approvals and follow up with relevant stakeholders to prevent delays in payment processing.
• Reconcile payable activity as needed and help identify discrepancies that require correction or clarification.• At least 5 years of hands-on accounts payable experience in an accounting or finance environment with strong attention to detail.
• Prior experience using NetSuite for invoice entry, payment tracking, and accounts payable processing.
• Strong background in invoice coding, invoice processing, and check run preparation.
• Proven ability to manage a shared AP inbox and handle multiple time-sensitive requests efficiently.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial data entry and review.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
• Availability to support a 1-month contract assignment in Madison, Tennessee.
