Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through in-depth interviews, ensuring comprehensive documentation covers all critical aspects from admission to discharge.

• Evaluate adolescent and adult clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify specific challenges and treatment needs.
\n
• Design tailored intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and group settings based on evidence-based practices suited to each client’s unique circumstances.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to foster healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with peers and medical staff.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require hospitalization or other specialized interventions, ensuring a continuum of care.

• Identify challenges that may hinder recovery and implement preventative strategies to address these barriers effectively.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and caregivers, helping them understand and manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, including those dealing with anxiety disorders, depression, substance use issues, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and treatment management.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a supportive nature that promotes therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, preferably in a community health clinic setting.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• A solid understanding of various mental health conditions and their interplay with physical health, including addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, coordinating care effectively with prescribing physicians.

Compensation and Benefits\n
