Accounts Payable Clerk

Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Northern Kentucky Pay: $21.00$22.00 per hour Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Shift: First Shift LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on behalf of our client in Northern Kentucky. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations. Responsibilities Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals before payment processing Enter invoice data into the accounting system and maintain detailed records Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues Reconcile vendor statements and maintain positive vendor relationships Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations Monitor accounts payable aging reports and ensure timely payments Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounting documents Support the accounting team with additional administrative and financial projects as needed Qualifications Previous accounts payable, accounting clerk, or bookkeeping experience preferred Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail Experience working with accounting or ERP software Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and spreadsheet management Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
