Chef de Cuisine

Long Hospitality is a Los Angeles restaurant group with four concepts across the city. We're hiring for a   Chef de Cuisine or  Executive Sous Chef (depending on experience) to help us manage culinary operations across concepts, and we're looking for someone who takes real pride in their craft, shows up for their team, and wants to be part of something special!

THE ROLE 

This is an operations-focused culinary leadership role. As part of the Long Hospitality culinary leadership team, your key role is to drive consistency and execution across our kitchens, building systems, standards, and people that keep every concept running at a high level, night after night. 

Depending on the project, you may be asked to help with menu or culinary development, but note that your main focus is culinary operations. You help ensure the food we've built comes out right, every time, at every location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to grow with a multi-concept group.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own day-to-day culinary operations and execution across concepts
• Build, document, and roll out system-wide SOPs, recipes, and prep standards
• Develop concept-level culinary leadership - coach and grow sous chefs and BOH leads
• Hold the standard on food quality, consistency, cleanliness, safety, and speed
• Drive labor and food cost, ordering, inventory, and vendor consistency across locations
• Lead trainings and onboarding, and keep standards aligned as we grow
• Step onto the line and lead service wherever the kitchen needs you
• Support R&D and menu development as needed, depending on the project

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Prior experience leading or supporting multiple kitchens
• Multiple years of experience in culinary leadership positions
• A systems thinker; someone who builds SOPs and standards, not just runs a line
• A genuine leader who develops people; calm under pressure and someone the team wants to work for
• Strong grasp of food cost, labor, ordering, and inventory
• Strong knife skills, strong palate, and real attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
• ServSafe or Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain one
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
