Exciting Opportunity for an RN in the NICU Job Description: - Position: Registered Nurse – NICU - Location: Irving, TX - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Shift: 7P - 7A - Weekend Requirements: Rotating - Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Unit Highlights: - Type of Equipment: - GE Bedside Monitors and GE Beds (Giraffe and Panda Warmers) - Natus Neoblue Phototherapy Lights - Neomed and Medfusion Feeding/Medication Pumps - Documentation System: Meditech and CPN - Scheduling Requirements: 3 – 12 hour night shifts - Floating Policy: As needed to nursery Hiring Profile: Must Have: - BLS Certification - NRP Certification - STABLE Certification - 2 Years of Hospital/Specialty Experience - Experience caring for infants requiring CPAP or Ventilation - Experience with Central Lines - Stabilization experience/attending deliveries - Developmental care expertise Preferred Skills: - Meditech experience is preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: - ACTIVE RN LICENSE – Temporary licenses will not be accepted Procedures Performed on Unit: - Assist with Line placement - Assist with Circumcision - Assist with Intubation Patient Experience Required: - Family centered care approach Dress Code: - Scrub Color: Royal Blue Medical City Healthcare Scrubs (Purchased from Scrubs and Beyond) - Nail Policy: Clean and Healthy, no nail polish, artificial nails, gel, next gen, etc. - Hair: Neat and clean, no extreme styles or colors. Long hair must be pulled back. - Tattoos: Covered whenever possible; individual cases addressed separately. - Piercings: No visible piercings other than ears (includes nose rings, tongue rings, etc.). - Other: No perfumes or lotions. Unit Guidelines/Policies: - Floating Guidelines: Possibility to float to Newborn Nursery - Attendance Policies: Company wide attendance policy will be followed.
