Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Coordinator Location: Bethesda, Maryland – NIH Clinical Center Position Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours; occasional early morning, evening, or extended hours may be required Position Overview Cornerstone Signals & Cyber Technologies LLC will seek a highly organized and experienced Graduate Medical Education (GME) Institutional Administrator to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center, Office of Clinical Research Training and Medical Education (OCRTME), in Bethesda, Maryland. The GME Institutional Administrator will serve as a principal administrative coordinator supporting the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) and NIH's Graduate Medical Education activities. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative, accreditation, compliance, program management, and continuous-improvement support for NIH-sponsored GME programs and Clinical Fellows. This position will be well suited for an individual with experience in graduate medical education, academic medicine, residency or fellowship program administration, healthcare administration, or medical education accreditation. Key Responsibilities Support the DIO in administering NIH Graduate Medical Education programs and maintaining compliance with applicable Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements. Coordinate GME accreditation and institutional compliance activities, including preparation and maintenance of supporting documentation. Plan and coordinate Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, preparation of meeting materials, minutes, action-item tracking, and follow-up. Support Annual Institutional Reviews, Special Reviews, and other institutional oversight and continuous-improvement activities. Coordinate administrative activities associated with Clinical Fellow appointments, onboarding, orientation, and program participation. Maintain and update GME policies, procedures, records, and institutional documentation. Track deadlines, accreditation requirements, action items, program reviews, and other GME administrative requirements. Support collection, maintenance, validation, and reporting of GME program and institutional data. Utilize GME and administrative information systems to maintain accurate program information and records. Coordinate with program directors, program coordinators, Clinical Fellows, faculty, NIH leadership, and other stakeholders. Identify administrative or compliance issues and support development and implementation of corrective actions. Assist with special projects, process improvements, reports, presentations, and other activities supporting the NIH GME mission. Protect sensitive personnel, trainee, and institutional information and maintain appropriate confidentiality. Provide responsive administrative and project-management support in a complex academic medical and research environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, higher education administration, business administration, public health, or a related field . At least one year of progressively responsible experience supporting graduate medical education, academic medicine, healthcare administration, or a closely related environment. Experience working with ACGME requirements, accreditation, or GME compliance activities . Experience coordinating multiple projects, deadlines, meetings, records, and administrative requirements. Strong organizational, analytical, and project-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate documentation. Ability to work effectively with physicians, faculty, fellows, program leadership, administrators, and Government stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in healthcare administration, higher education administration, public health, business administration, or a related discipline. Direct experience administering an ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship program . Experience supporting a Designated Institutional Official, Graduate Medical Education Committee, residency/fellowship program director, or institutional GME office. Experience preparing for ACGME reviews, Annual Institutional Reviews, Special Reviews, or similar accreditation activities. Experience with GME information systems such as New Innovations, MedHub, ACGME Accreditation Data System (ADS), or comparable platforms . Experience in a major academic medical center, teaching hospital, Federal healthcare organization, or research institution. Work Environment Work will primarily support the NIH Clinical Center, 9000 Rockville Pike, Building 10, Bethesda, Maryland 20892 . Duties will generally be performed Monday through Friday during normal NIH business hours. Occasional early morning, evening, or extended-hour support may be necessary based on program requirements. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will combine strong GME administrative knowledge with exceptional organization and attention to detail. The individual will be comfortable managing accreditation requirements and administrative deadlines while working collaboratively with physicians, Clinical Fellows, program leadership, and institutional stakeholders.
