We are experts known for leading challenging processes and bringing together disparate stakeholder groups.**Role Overview:**The Turnaround & Restructuring (T&R) Managing Director role is an experienced senior level position that leads and manages client engagement team(s) through challenging in-and-out of court turnaround and restructuring situations.**Responsibilities:*** Leads the final delivery of analyses developed on engagement(s)* Leads and provides guidance on complex analyses and restructuring alternatives pertinent to the situation at hand* Has a view on various restructuring concepts informed by prior experience and expertise* Understands complex issues with credit agreements and can structure provision and terms to best protect the client* Negotiate waivers, forbearances, amendments and terms to credit agreements* Effectively manages entire project work plan for engagement(s)* Manages the development and presentation of final client deliverables* Determines effective approach / content level based on previous experiences in similar situations* Leads presentations and large meetings with senior clients, other professionals and parties in interest* Maintains day to day relationships between Ankura team and senior client executives* Oversees the quality of engagement(s) and the development of staff**Requirements:*** Minimum 10 years of relevant restructuring / distressed experience in a professional service or consulting firm environment* Prior hands-on experience building / developing / overseeing integrated 3-statement financial and 13-week cash flow models* An undergraduate degree from a top academic institution* Advanced degree(s) and applicable professional certification(s) are preferred (CFA, CIRA, CPA)* High energy style, flexible and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast paced environment* Ability to adapt to complex client environments and situations* Proven track record of effectively planning for and proactively mitigates risks on projects and work streams* Expertise defining, influencing and driving change at executive levels and across the broader community of stakeholders* Exceptional negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving senior level stakeholders* Able to develop credible recommendations under shortened time constraints and imperfect information* Quickly recognizes critical areas requiring analysis and review while understanding the big picture* Experience synthesizing complex unstructured information rapidly and applies good business judgment driving quickly to deep insights into possible impacts and solutions* Expert written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client ready document and presentation development* Articulate, persuasive, communicator who is adept at handling executive and difficult audiences well including ability to adapt style to audience* Ability and willingness to undertake extensive travel is required* Willingness to work at times, long hours during the week and on weekends due to client demands may be necessary#LI-MJ1#LI-Hybrid\*Ankura is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
