Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological needs, taking into account any co-occurring medical conditions.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address both psychiatric and physical health needs through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to each patient’s circumstances.

• Engage in active collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers to create coordinated care strategies that promote effective treatment outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention and support services during mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and immediate therapeutic support.

• Educate patients and their families about the relationship between mental health and physical wellness, enhancing their capacity to manage their health conditions effectively.

• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to state regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and care planning to ensure alignment across treatment modalities.

• Stay informed about current research, advancements in mental health practices, and integrated care methodologies to continuously improve patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will primarily serve an adult and adolescent patient population dealing with an array of conditions. Many patients present with co-occurring disorders, including chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use issues, requiring a specialized focus that combines psychiatry and general healthcare.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.
\n
• Competence in addressing the psychological needs of individuals who have co-occurring medical conditions.
\n
• Prior experience in integrated care settings, collaborating seamlessly with medical professionals.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a strong focus on building therapeutic relationships.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to uphold professional boundaries and ensure strict confidentiality in all patient interactions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for efficient practice management.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have at least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly involving complex cases with integrated care models. This experience enables therapists to adeptly navigate patient needs and collaborate effectively with other disciplines.

Compensation and Benefits\n
