Work Environment

This role is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the state of California. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to provide effective treatment.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting approaches based on clients' unique circumstances.
• Document clinical progress and maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in collaborations with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive holistic care and support across various domains of their lives.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development workshops to remain current on the latest mental health practices and research findings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Optimal Psychiatric Clinic, you will work with a diverse client population, including adults, children, and adolescents, who present with a wide array of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance misuse. Your ability to connect with clients and provide compassionate care will significantly enhance their journey towards improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Hold an active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in California.
• Demonstrated experience in counseling, with a minimum of two years preferred in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in fields such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma treatment, or substance abuse will be highly regarded.
• Experience working with clients across various age groups, including both adult and adolescent populations, is beneficial.
