Make a daily impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting significantly diverse learners in a vibrant learning environment. This full-time, onsite position centers on teaching in Substantially Separate Classrooms, both at the K-1 and 3rd-5th grade level. You’ll serve students with substantial cognitive and physical disabilities, some of whom are non-verbal or on the autism spectrum. Collaboration and compassion are key, as you will work alongside paraprofessionals and RBTs to deliver meaningful, evidence-based instruction and essential care.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Experience teaching students with severe disabilities, including those who are non-verbal or require toileting assistance
• Knowledge of specially designed instruction methods and curriculum
• Strongly prefer experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA)
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teams and related service providers
• Patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering communication and independence
• Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals for students with significant needs
• Implement behavior intervention plans and utilize ABA strategies to promote skill acquisition
• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, as needed
• Adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning and communication styles
• Work closely with support staff, including RBTs and paraprofessionals, to maximize classroom support and student growth
• Collect data and monitor progress on student goals
• Maintain open communication with families and IEP team members
