About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for U.S. Government Affairs to lead and drive the company's strategic engagement with federal and state governments. The successful candidate will be responsible for policy advocacy, executive advising, and external engagement to influence legislation and support business outcomes. This role requires a trusted adviser to the executive team, with a focus on recruiting, training, and managing staff for lobbying on a range of policy issues. The Vice President will also be tasked with composing advocacy materials, ensuring compliance with lobbying laws, and building strong relationships with government officials to enhance the company's reputation and create a favorable business environment. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree highly desirable, and at least 15 years of experience in government affairs, including a background in Congress, the Executive Branch, or the national security enterprise. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in designing successful advocacy campaigns, the ability to operate effectively in a nonpartisan manner, and a clear reputation for ethical conduct. The ideal candidate will have excellent political and business judgment, strong communication skills, and a team-first leadership style that fosters collaboration. A willingness to travel and an active TS/SCI security clearance or the willingness to apply for one, are also required.
