Business Office Assistant

Meridian at Laguna Hills

We’re looking for a Business Office Assistant to join the team! You will be the first to meet our residents, so the first impression of our senior living community depends on your friendliness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a smart and trustworthy individual able to provide customers with a warm greeting and handle all incoming requests. You will be responsible to protect the community and its residents by monitoring who comes in and out of our premises. The goal is to contribute to an overall pleasant customer experience to increase our reputation and ensure sustainable growth. Responsibilities Welcome residents and families upon entrance. Act as the point of reference for residents and families who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements. Understand residents and family’s needs and provide them with personalized solutions. Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations for our residents and families. Arrange events, excursions, transportation, etc. upon request from residents and families. Answer the phone and make reservations, take and distribute messages or mail and redirect calls. Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution for residents and families. Skills Previous experience as a Concierge, in customer service, or in a similar role preferred. Proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Polite, professional, and patient demeanor. Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to resolve issues with a customer-focused approach. High school diploma required; a degree in a related field is a plus. Assist the Business Office Manager (BOM) with payroll time edits. Help with Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P). Support Human Resources (HR) tasks, including Workers' Compensation (WC) and FMLA paperwork. Assist with marketing paperwork and other administrative tasks. Work effectively as part of a team. Work Schedule Monday- Friday or Tuesday - Saturday 8:30pm-5:00pm 7:00am-03:30pm Weekends EEOC Statement The above statements are intended to be a general description.
