Make a meaningful impact by providing occupational therapy services to students for a short-term assignment near East Providence, RI. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled school-based OT seeking a flexible schedule while supporting a dedicated learning environment. You’ll deliver essential therapy services to help students reach their full potential, covering a medical leave for 6-12 weeks, one day per week.

What you bring:

• Active OT license in Rhode Island
• Previous experience in a school-based setting (Grades 6-12 experience preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families
• Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans and documentation
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse student needs on a part-time, short-term basis

Role responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to students in grades 6-12, focusing on enhancing participation and performance in school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and execute IEP goals
• Assess students’ needs and monitor progress through ongoing evaluation and documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of accommodations and modifications
• Promote student independence in academics, daily activities, and social participation
