Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a welcoming school-based setting near Pawtucket and East Providence, RI. This assignment is ideal for those looking to expand their experience in pediatric and school environments, with a manageable, one day per week schedule (7.5 hours each week). You’ll be providing essential OT services on-site during a 6-12 week leave coverage, starting as soon as possible and continuing through approximately December 4.

Your role will focus on delivering direct therapy, assessing student needs, and collaborating with a dedicated educational team to foster student success and independence.

What you bring:

• Valid OT licensure in Rhode Island
• Experience or strong interest in school or pediatric OT
• Ability to manage a varied caseload across K-12 populations
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting school priorities and student needs
• Strong teamwork and organizational abilities

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Providing direct therapy services on-site to K-12 students
• Documenting progress, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
• Consulting and collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
• Supporting school staff with strategies to promote student participation in daily activities
