Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Stafford, Virginia, where you will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including rehabilitation assistants and case managers. Our center is designed to facilitate hands-on treatment, providing a supportive atmosphere that fosters healing, collaboration, and professional growth. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, promoting work-life balance while enabling you to make a significant impact in our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including assessments of muscle, nerve, and joint function, to establish tailored treatment plans that focus on pain relief and improved mobility.
• Administer appropriate physical therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and massage, to alleviate discomfort and enhance recovery.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the effective implementation of treatment plans while adhering to state regulations and company policies.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by participating in case conferences, sharing insights, and contributing to the overall treatment strategies for patients.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including OASIS assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring that all records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Develop and adjust care plans based on ongoing patient assessments and feedback while providing education and training to patients and their families regarding therapeutic exercises and equipment usage.
• Set up and modify orthotic and prosthetic devices as necessary, collaborating closely with physicians for any recommendations regarding patient care modifications.
• Adhere to an ethical practice model while advocating for patients' needs and promoting wellness and prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a wide range of patients recovering from various conditions—including those with orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and postoperative rehabilitation needs. Our team prides itself on delivering personalized care to patients of all ages, and you will play an integral role in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals through customized therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure active in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient documentation and patient management.
• Specialization in any clinical area of therapy, such as geriatrics or pediatrics, is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, reflecting the expertise and quality of service you bring to our team.
