Position Overview

Trails Rehabilitation & Wellness Pro is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our full-time team located in Stafford, Virginia. As a crucial member of our rehabilitation staff, you will play a significant role in providing comprehensive care to patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries. Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, where the environment is designed to be both therapeutic and welcoming. The standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured routine that supports work-life balance. We prioritize team collaboration and reflection in our approach, encouraging open communication and shared learning among staff to continually enhance our service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established physical therapy practice acts, ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations regarding patient care and supervision.
• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients presenting with functional limitations or disabilities. Design and implement customized treatment plans that cater to the needs of each individual.
• Perform evaluation services, including the assessment of patient histories, specific clinical tests, and documentation of findings, ensuring a clear record of each patient's journey through rehabilitation.
• Utilize your clinical expertise to implement treatment protocols effectively based on patient evaluation findings and ongoing assessments of their progress.
• Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams as appropriate, making modifications to treatment plans in response to any documented changes in patient conditions.
• Facilitate appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care by accurately documenting all pertinent patient care activities, including initial evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Complete all required training and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, including corporate and clinical standards.
• Evaluate and direct treatment modalities for patients requiring physical therapy, ensuring all medical necessity is well-documented.
• Actively participate in facility meetings and engage in initiatives aimed at improving patient access and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic-related conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, and sports injuries. Our diverse clientele varies from post-operative patients to those in need of rehabilitation following acute or chronic injuries. Your work will help empower these individuals to achieve their functional goals, improve their quality of life, and enhance their mobility and strength.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Must hold a valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) in Virginia.
• At least two years of outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory to ensure patient safety during treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation practices is encouraged.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
