Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for patients referred by physicians, determining the appropriate course of treatment based on individual needs.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans that adhere to evidence-based practices, regularly updating them to reflect each patient's progress.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate rehabilitation, including but not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Provide exceptional customer service and effectively communicate with patients and their caregivers, ensuring they understand the treatment process and their role in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, participating in case reviews and contributing insights based on clinical findings.
• Motivate and empower patients to meet their recovery goals through encouragement and support during therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will focus primarily on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will help address needs across various demographics, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Active State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic medical record systems.
