Work Environment

This position is onsite within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in the heart of Stafford, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess patient conditions, functional limitations, and disabilities, using standardized tests and assessment tools.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall patient function.
• Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and professional documentation standards while maintaining comprehensive records of patient evaluations and therapy sessions.
• Providing consultations to referring healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and effective communication regarding each patient's progress and treatment goals.
• Developing discharge plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring a smooth transition from therapy to everyday life.
• Actively participating in leadership initiatives such as community outreach programs, clinical quality improvement efforts, and marketing strategies.
• Educating patients and caregivers about therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and health management strategies to promote independence.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and students, ensuring best practices are followed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will predominantly focus on adult and geriatric patients suffering from a range of orthopedic concerns, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and movement disorders. You will engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, requiring the ability to adapt your communication style and treatment approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, enhancing their recovery experience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy state license in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication, demonstrating the ability to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic word processing software to document treatments and manage patient information.

Preferred Experience
