This position operates onsite within our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility, designed to provide a conducive environment for physical therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities by utilizing a range of diagnostic and prognostic tests to develop personalized treatment plans that aim to relieve pain and restore function.
• Administer individualized therapy sessions, using manual therapy techniques and prescribed therapeutic exercises to maximize patient recovery and engagement.
• Collaborate with physical therapy assistants to ensure the consistent implementation of care plans and the highest standards of patient support.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and recovery goals.
• Provide training and education to patients and their families regarding the use and maintenance of therapeutic devices, as well as guidance on continued home care practices.
• Engage with our interdisciplinary team during case conferences to evaluate and refine the overall treatment strategy for each patient.
• Prepare and maintain detailed clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Assess environmental factors impacting patient rehabilitation and recommend modifications to enhance their independence and recovery journey.
• Stay current with best practices in physical therapy to continuously elevate the quality of care provided to our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our rehabilitation efforts is on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic conditions such as arthritis. Our therapists work closely with individuals of varying ages, crafting specialized treatment plans that address specific needs and goals. This role is vital in facilitating a patient's return to their daily activities and improving overall physical function and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with a commitment to maintaining licensure in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in physical therapy within an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is highly desired.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth services to streamline patient management processes.

Compensation and Benefits
