Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, designed to facilitate collaborative care among healthcare professionals. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to providing high-quality therapy services. Our schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a consistent routine that can enhance work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that align with their specific orthopedic needs.
• Administer therapeutic interventions designed to improve patient mobility and function, including exercise-based rehabilitation, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Maintains a balanced caseload, ensuring that each patient receives adequate time and attention to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Document treatment sessions accurately and thoroughly using EMR software, such as Web PT, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and effective patient tracking.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, employing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens, home care strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices to maximize rehabilitation results.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to foster a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Stay informed about advancements in orthopedic physical therapy practices, integrating new knowledge into treatment programs.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their healing journey, promoting positivity and encouraging adherence to the treatment plan.
• Implement wellness programs focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination to improve overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will employ your skills to empower patients of all ages, helping them navigate their recovery journey with tailored therapy interventions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• A clean licensure history with no sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques, demonstrating comprehensive treatment capabilities.
• A strong foundation in designing and executing effective exercise programs aimed at rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT, for efficient documentation practices.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy trends and evidence-based methodologies to provide the best care.

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.

Compensation and Benefits
