Work Environment

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work onsite at our modern outpatient office located in the heart of Fredericksburg, Virginia. The office operates from Monday to Friday, with typical working hours from 8 AM to 3 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical therapy evaluations for patients with orthopedic conditions, ensuring each assessment is detailed and patient-centered.
• Develop, implement, and modify personalized treatment plans based on the individual needs and goals of each patient.
• Regularly monitor and reassess clinical signs and symptoms to evaluate treatment effectiveness and progression towards established goals.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and within a timely manner using our electronic health record (EHR) system, including SOAP notes and progress reports.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment progress, and strategies for effective home care post-therapy.
• Meet and strive to exceed departmental utilization goals while contributing to the overall business objectives of the clinic.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients receiving multiple types of therapy.
• Embody and advocate for our clinic's core values, contributing positively to our organizational culture.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals with acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, post-operative patients, and those seeking rehabilitation after sports injuries. Your ability to adapt treatment techniques for a varied demographic will be key in promoting optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A passion for orthopedic rehabilitation and a strong desire to work effectively with a varied patient demographic.
• Willingness to conduct evaluations and treatments both in-person and virtually when appropriate.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient engagement and education.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and assess treatment plans for orthopedic patients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices.
• Experience in telehealth delivery of therapy services is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
