Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing therapy in the comfort of our patients' homes. This unique setting allows you to deliver personalized care while also adapting treatment plans based on the patient's living environment. You will enjoy a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere, working closely with two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share your commitment to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and establish individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Deliver effective physical therapy interventions focusing on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other evidence-based practices.
• Motivate patients through their rehabilitation process by providing education on exercises and lifestyle adjustments.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, ensuring that all treatment outcomes are evaluated and communicated effectively.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes for patients.
• Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress, feedback, and emerging needs.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care services in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and address challenges faced in treatment delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients undergoing rehabilitation from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain disorders. Our clientele is diverse, mainly composed of individuals with private medical insurance, who benefit from our personalized approach and commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in Virginia, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques and evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
• Proven ability to design and execute personalized exercise protocols tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Proficiency in using the WebPT EMR software for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in home health physical therapy will be advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate a diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
