About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Aurora, Colorado, 80045!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: Teaching hospital experience required Description: 10 RTO days maximum approved. RTO is not allowed during the following time periods: - October 25 to November 4, - November 22 to December 2, - December 20 to January 3. Shifts: Days only on weekends. First-time travelers are accepted, but teaching hospital experience is necessary if this is the first travel assignment. Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs and may include sister facilities. Total staffed beds on the unit are 36. Charting system used is Epic. Nurse-to-patient ratios may flex based on staffing and unit needs. Candidates must have prior experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. Uniform scrub color is navy. Special Requirements: Majority of procedures and diagnoses are related to the abdomen or pelvic area. The unit primarily cares for patients with a known cancer diagnosis needing surgical interventions to manage disease processes or complications. Nursing staff provides care to help achieve specific post-operative milestones for discharge. Chemotherapy or biotherapy is not administered on this unit. Candidates do not need to be chemotherapy certified to apply. Specialty care is tailored towards diagnoses and procedures related to: - Gynecologic Oncology, - Urology Oncology, - Colorectal Oncology, - Pancreatic Oncology, - Liver Oncology, - Stomach Oncology. This unit uses standard medical equipment that does not require specialized training. New and innovative technology is incorporated into everyday workflows, with reviews during the onboarding process.
