Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our well-equipped outpatient office located in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida. The office environment is collaborative and supportive, allowing for open communication among healthcare teams. You'll be interacting daily with physical therapy assistants and other healthcare professionals while delivering top-notch therapy services to a diverse patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities and limitations.
• Direct and oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure accurate implementation of treatment plans and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct thorough evaluations using diagnostic and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assess the patient's home environment to recommend modifications that foster independence and ease rehabilitation.
• Implement prescribed physical therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises and assistive techniques.
• Administer treatments involving physical agents, including traction and massage, as outlined in the care plan.
• Evaluate and fit patients with prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary adjustments and recommendations to physicians.
• Oversee the preparation of clinical records, including initial evaluations and progress notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in case conferences to develop and update comprehensive care plans.
• Advise clients and their families on treatment plans, therapy devices, and overall wellness strategies.
• Maintain timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies, including clinical and payroll records.
• Engage actively in client education by instructing families on therapeutic exercises and utilizations of medical devices.
• Complete a thorough on-site assessment and necessary revisions to the treatment plan based on patient progress.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a physical therapy setting is essential.
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice in Florida.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment with a strong emphasis on patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic physical therapy preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
