This full-time contract opportunity bridges the 2026-2027 school year, offering you the chance to work closely with elementary-aged students, with flexibility to match your expertise and preferences for caseload and location. What you'll bring:
- Active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in pediatric and school-based settings highly valued
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with assistive listening technology
- Willingness to supervise—candidates must be open to overseeing an SLPA if assigned
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct and consultative speech-language services to elementary students, with ages and placements tailored to your preferences
- Developing, planning, and implementing IEPs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Utilizing assistive listening technology effectively to maximize student outcomes
- Completing documentation, assessments, and progress reports as required by the school
- Supervising and mentoring an SLPA (if applicable), ensuring quality service and professional development
- Engaging positively with families, teachers, and staff to foster student success
