Billing Specialist

When we engage we are all-in so to better those we serve. The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing all billing-related processes around customer invoicing and revenue tracking. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring accuracy and timely processing of billing transactions. The Billing Specialist will work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve billing discrepancies, answer inquiries, and support overall financial operations. This is an in-office position based at PDT’s headquarters in Byron Center, MI. What You Would Do Generate and send accurate, timely invoices to customers based on product shipments, project milestones, or service agreements Review contract terms to ensure invoicing aligns with customer agreements, including payment schedules and agreed-upon rates Serve as a point of contact for billing-related customer inquiries, resolving concerns or disputes promptly and professionally Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained and that order terms, including pricing, scope, and delivery dates, are correctly reflected in the billing system Set up new customer accounts and collect all relevant documentation Partner with sales, project management, and procurement teams to verify that orders align with customer expectations and project requirements Prepare billing reports and assist with monthly and quarterly financial reconciliations and audits Support additional duties and special projects as assigned What We Are Looking For 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar finance-related role Experience working with NetSuite or other ERP/billing systems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues Strong attention to detail and accuracy Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred Experience in the technology or professional services industry preferred Sales tax, GST/PST, or VAT knowledge preferred What We Would Offer You Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents. 401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability.
