Chef de Partie Join the Opening Team at SAAM
SAAM is a new contemporary Thai restaurant opening in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood in Late July 2026.
Led by Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn, one of Thailand’s most celebrated chefs, SAAM brings together authentic Thai flavors, California ingredients, and a deep commitment to hospitality and craftsmanship.
We are seeking passionate and motivated Chef de Partie to join our opening culinary team.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a Michelin-recognized chef and contribute to a restaurant dedicated to showcasing the depth and diversity of Thai cuisine through thoughtful technique and exceptional ingredients.
Responsibilities- Manage and execute daily production and service for an assigned station
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist with mise en place, prep work, and service execution
- Follow recipes, systems, and kitchen procedures accurately
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with chefs and fellow team members during service
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen culture
- Support training and development of junior kitchen staff when needed
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, Line Cook, or similar role preferred
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous learning
