Make a lasting impact as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired working with K-12 students throughout York County. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with multiple school districts, providing essential educational support to students with visual impairments. You'll work onsite, traveling to various schools, and become a valued resource in helping district staff ensure every student receives the instruction and accommodations they need to thrive.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid PA certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience supporting K-12 students in an educational setting (preferred)
• Willingness to work onsite and travel between schools within York County
• Strong ability to collaborate with diverse school teams
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative support to visually impaired students in K-12 classrooms across the Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown districts
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans to address each student’s unique learning goals
• Partner closely with district staff, special educators, and families to coordinate comprehensive support
• Provide training and resources to school personnel regarding best practices for accessible instruction
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting services as needed for continued growth and success
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
