Make a lasting impact on students’ lives by working as an onsite Special Education Teacher in an engaging, innovative school environment. Four contract opportunities are available for the 2026-2027 academic year, providing direct support in Autistic Support classrooms, all supplied with Personal Care Assistant (PCA) support. This position runs from August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering a dynamic setting where your expertise truly matters.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate for Special Education (required)
- Experience working in Autistic Support classrooms or with students on the autism spectrum highly valued
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including support staff and administrative personnel
- Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students in an Autistic Support classroom
- Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements
- Collaborate closely with PCAs, therapists, and other educators to ensure students’ educational and behavioral needs are met
- Engage with families regarding student progress and strategies for ongoing support
- Participate in professional development, team meetings, and ongoing training to enhance skill sets
- Support a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
The school’s schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 3:15pm—a routine that fosters consistency while maintaining work-life balance.
