Step into an impactful opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in dedicated Autistic Support classrooms. Four contract positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, with roles running from August 18, 2026, through May 27, 2027. You’ll work onsite in a nurturing environment fortified by PCA (Personal Care Assistant) support, ensuring the best outcomes for your students.
School days run from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., and you’ll collaborate closely with other passionate educators and support staff to create individualized, meaningful learning experiences. Your expertise will help empower young learners to achieve their fullest potential within an inclusive educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and active Pennsylvania teaching certificate required
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Familiarity with autistic support strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to creating a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality instruction tailored to students in Autistic Support classrooms
- Develop, modify, and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and support staff
- Maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere, aided by PCA support
- Monitor and report student progress, communicating regularly with administrators and parents
- Employ innovative teaching methodologies and adapt as student needs evolve
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth among students
