As a Pediatric Urgent Care Physician, you'll deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative, child-focused environment while helping expand access to pediatric healthcare beyond traditional office hours. Why Physicians Choose Allied Urgent Care $140 – $160 per hour, commensurate with experience Consistent evening and weekend shifts — build a schedule that works around your primary practice A purpose-built pediatric urgent care setting — children and families only, not a mixed-population walk-in Optional additional shifts across Allied Physicians Group locations Experienced, supportive clinical leadership on every shift Physician-owned, physician-led organization of 150+ clinicians focused on clinical excellence Minimum four shifts per month (two 8-hour and two 12-hour) to maintain malpractice coverage What You Will Do Provide urgent and episodic care for pediatric patients, from infancy through young adulthood Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries in a pediatric urgent care setting Perform procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, and foreign body removal Deliver clear communication, education, and reassurance to patients and families Collaborate closely with providers, nursing staff, and operational teams to ensure an exceptional patient experience Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the athenaOne EMR Support innovative care delivery models, including telemedicine services Ideal Background Experience in Pediatrics, Pediatric Urgent Care, or Pediatric Emergency Medicine Comfortable managing acute illnesses and minor injuries independently Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to children and families Qualifications MD or DO with an active New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain) Board Certified in Pediatrics Current DEA Registration PALS Pediatric Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience preferred Excellent communication and patient-centered bedside manner athenaOne experience a plus Why Allied Physicians Group Allied Physicians Group is one of the largest physician-owned and physician-led medical groups in the New York metropolitan area, supporting more than 150 providers across a broad network of pediatric and specialty care practices. Compensation Compensation: $140.00 – $160.00 per hour. The compensation range listed represents Allied Physicians Group's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this position at the time of posting. The specific compensation offered will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
