Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Honor Your Emotions, your duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic practices to guide clients through challenges, with a focus on achieving measurable mental health outcomes.

• Writing thorough therapeutic notes and maintaining detailed documentation in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Facilitating various forms of therapy, including individual counseling, family therapy, child therapy, and group sessions, effective for a wide array of mental health disorders.

• Collaborating with external agencies when necessary to ensure holistic support for clients.

• Participating in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve serving a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, children, and families dealing with various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. We prioritize culturally competent care, making it essential for our therapists to understand and respect the backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must have:

• A Master’s degree (MSW, MS/MA) in social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology, or a related field.

• Active licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Membership in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA BBS) and registration with CAQH.

• Independence, professionalism, and the ability to effectively manage your time and client caseload.

Preferred Experience\n

We encourage applicants with experience in treating a broad spectrum of mental health disorders and various age groups. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish or additional languages, are highly encouraged to apply and will be eligible for a salary differential to reflect their language skills. Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
