Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs through in-depth interviews and diagnostic evaluations.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s unique situation.
\n
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, providing tools and strategies for coping, growth, and recovery.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records in our EHR system, ensuring all documentation is current and compliant with state regulations.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care and support for clients.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention and support, remaining calm and effective in high-pressure situations to ensure client safety and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, predominantly adults navigating the complexities of mental health disorders. Your clients may face issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and interpersonal relationship challenges. As a mental health counselor, you will be performing Enlightened psychotherapy techniques to help clients foster understanding and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience providing mental health counseling services.
\n
• Proven understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment interventions, particularly with evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Strong communication skills with an ability to develop rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated skill in crisis intervention and the ability to navigate challenging circumstances with professionalism.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions using culturally sensitive practices.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or mindfulness-based approaches.

• Prior experience with telehealth practices and comfort in utilizing technology in therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
