Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students across multiple sites in the Blue Springs area. As a contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll play an important role during an FMLA leave, helping ensure continuity of care and services for students from late August through late September, with the potential for extension.

You’ll collaborate closely with occupational therapists and school staff at several elementary, middle, and high school settings, using your expertise to facilitate student progress and independence. The schedule is full-time, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, spanning a variety of age groups and needs.

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
• Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and travel among schools as needed
• Commitment to supporting students’ educational and developmental goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students per IEPs under the direction of an occupational therapist
• Document interventions, progress, and communications in accordance with school and regulatory standards
• Support classroom strategies and modifications to promote student engagement
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Adapt to assignments across elementary, middle, and high school environments
