Accounts Payable Specialist
Accounting Now
Accounting Now is seeking a Bilingual Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing and well-established construction organization specializing in utility infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a stable, expanding company that supports large-scale sitework and foundation projects critical to regional infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Perform 2-way matching of purchase orders and invoices
- Ensure proper coding, approvals, and documentation prior to payment processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding invoices
- Prepare and execute payment runs (checks, ACH, and wire transfers)
- Review and audit employee expense reports for policy compliance
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate records to support audit and compliance requirements
- Identify and support process improvement opportunities within the AP function
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
What Were Looking For
- 24 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience
- Bilingual: Spanish/English
- Experience with ERP systems
- Intermediate Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
