Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Shipping and Receiving Clerk Location Dallas, TX Shift 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime as required (possible nights/weekends) Work Authorization Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Responsibilities Perform the physical and/or administrative duties related to the shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items. Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, reject damaged goods, and enter data into the inventory control system. Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse. Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor. Pick, wrap, and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers prior to final packing for shipment and affix identifying information to the packages. Use various shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS. Adjust to a fast‑paced and quickly changing environment. Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting. Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods as needed. Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment. Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability. Receive and unpack materials and supplies. Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record‑keeping purposes. Complete shipping and receiving reports. Qualifications Basic computer and math skills. Ability to work independently and solve problems as needed. Comfortable with heights up to 35 feet. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others will understand. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Regularly required to remain in a stationary position and handle machinery/products, including printing materials. Frequent ability to move inside the facility and move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry). Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit‑down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
