Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to inform individualized treatment and discharge plans for patients, utilizing accepted social work interventions and best practices.

• Document clinical interactions accurately and timely in accordance with department policies, ensuring all records are maintained in our electronic medical records system.

• Provide ongoing counseling sessions that focus on assessment and intervention for emotional and behavioral challenges faced by patients in recovery.

• Engage with patients’ families and support systems, providing guidance and coordination regarding treatment options, discharge planning, and ongoing support.

• Implement crisis intervention techniques when necessary, aiding patients in navigating immediate emotional upheavals or behavioral concerns.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with social work practices and enhance service delivery quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing detoxification from various substances, including alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each individual is critical, as you will be working with a diverse population that often requires integrated behavioral health support. Through empathetic counseling and targeted interventions, you will help patients develop coping strategies necessary for sustained recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required; however, a Master’s degree is preferred for a more robust therapeutic approach.

• An active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of relevant social work experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting, is essential to understand the complexities of treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
