Staff Accountant

A growing and highly regarded wealth management firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close while helping maintain the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial records. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. Perform monthly account reconciliations, including cash, investments, and accruals. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements and management reports. Analyze financial results and support budgeting and profitability reporting. Assist with investment, partnership, trust, or multi-entity accounting, as applicable. Support audits, maintain compliance with GAAP, and strengthen internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and system efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–4 years of accounting experience; public accounting or financial services experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; ERP experience is a plus. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in wealth management, investment management, banking, family office, or other financial services environments.
